There are times when Akanishi Jin is sullen, moody, bored out of his skull, and those are the times the staff try to avoid him as much as possible. They know to go to Kamenashi or Ueda at times like that, let them approach him for them - it's understood they're the ones that can handle him best when he's in that mood, and it's an open secret that they're the ones who have the best chance of lifting him out of it.
There are times when he's happy and joyful and shining with it, the times when he's outspoken and friendly, almost like a big kid, and everyone finds themselves finding excuses to talk to him, be near him, trying to get him to laugh, letting themselves be drawn in. It's almost like he has his own gravitational field among the high-pitched laughter and bad american jokes.
The short temper and tendency to tirelessly bully makes an appearance every now and then, mostly when around Nakamaru and Junno, though neither staff nor Juniors are spared. That's when they roll their eyes, gossip to each other in expasperated voices that KAT-TUN's "A" is at it again, maybe they should wait a few minutes to go to him for instuructions for yet another costume question, wait for him to settle down. These are also the times when Akanishi gets into the most disagreements with the other members (mostly Koki) and the people around him shake their heads and wonder how on earth Akanishi Jin is as popular as he is.
But when he's on stage and performing, utterly into the music, body gliding and moving in the rhythm, hypnotizing voice slipping in and out of the melody with deceptive ease, almost like he's unseeing of the tens of thousands of eyes that are trained him, commanding attention through sheer stage presence and talent, no-one can help watching him, help think that maybe he was born for this, to do this, born for it.
